Haulage, Groupage and Pallet Delivery
At Streamline, we offer several main ways to move commercial freight to and from Orkney and Shetland, so you only pay for the capacity you actually need:
Groupage services
If you don't have enough freight to fill a full load, groupage lets you share transport costs with other businesses shipping to the same islands. It's one of the most cost-effective ways to move smaller or irregular consignments to Orkney and Shetland, without compromising on delivery reliability. Sharing loads also makes groupage the most carbon-efficient of our freight options, reducing the number of part-empty vehicles making the same journey.
Pallet delivery network
For palletised goods, our Orkney pallet delivery service connects directly into our wider UK pallet network, with regular scheduled runs to Kirkwall and Lerwick. Ideal for retailers, wholesalers and manufacturers who need predictable, trackable delivery.
Commercial freight & full loads
For larger or time-sensitive consignments (e.g. construction materials, plant equipment, industrial stock) we arrange dedicated commercial freight to Orkney and Shetland, with full-load haulage direct from our mainland depots onto the ferry network and straight to site.
