Due to urgency, at the recommendation of Streamline Shipping Group, consignment broken down by the EU supplier into a small package of the most important parts, and the remainder on a pallet which would be more likely to be held up in transit. Both the small package and pallet are then collected on the same day, with the small package successfully delivered within two days at 7pm on a Saturday evening, and the pallet one day later on a Sunday afternoon on the remote island of Westray.

DAY 1 Thursday (VAN no.1, FLIGHT no. 1)

Small package and pallet collected by dedicated van in rural Romania and delivered to Targu Mures Airport for movement to East Midlands Airport, via Budapest and Leipzig cargo hubs**

Cargo arrives East Midlands Airport and loaded onboard cargo flight to Aberdeen

0830 hrs
Cargo flight turned back from Aberdeen to East Midlands due to fog

Cargo flight lands at Aberdeen Airport

DAY 3 Saturday (VAN no.2, FLIGHT no. 3, FERRY no.1 and FERRY no.2, TRUCK no.1)

Small package and pallet collected by dedicated van - small package delivered to Aberdeen Airport, pallet delivered to Streamline Aberdeen for shipping by ferry

Small package transferred from Kirkwall Airport to Westray Ferry by dedicated van and loaded to truck on ferry.
