Any goods being sent to the outer isles can be taken to the Streamline depot where they will be stored prior to collection.
Today's announcement follows an earlier tendering exercise.
Kirkwall Streamline manager Vanessa Robertson said “The Directors and staff at Streamline Shipping Group are delighted to have won the contract to provide the Outer Isles warehousing service and look forward to providing an enhanced level of service from our brand new £1.2m depot facility in Kirkwall to all users.
