Streamline’s Support for Mental Health in Orkney
In collaboration with NHS Orkney and the Scotland-wide Breathing Space campaign, Streamline Shipping is thrilled to support the unveiling of a new Breathing Space bench to FDAMH (Falkirk District Association for Mental Health). This new bench provides a dedicated public space for the local community to chat to each other, sit and reflect, or simply have a quiet moment to themselves – all with the aim of boosting mental wellbeing.
The initiative is part of Breathing Space’s mission to promote positive mental health across Scotland: Read the full announcement here
Personal Delivery of Palliative ‘Cuddle Bed’ in Shetland
Streamline also recently supported NHS Shetland by helping to transport a specialist palliative bed to the Gilbert Bain Hospital in Lerwick. The unique bed, which gently expands to accommodate family members alongside patients, was shipped free of charge from Aberdeen to ensure its arrival in pristine condition.
Our Shetland manager, Gillian, was personally invited to the hospital to mark the special delivery, which aims to provide all-important extra comfort for patients and families during end-of-life care. We’re honoured to have played a small part in the process.
