  • Streamline Named as Partner in Next Stage of SATE Project

We’re excited to share that Streamline Shipping Group has been named as a partner in the next stage of Innovate UK’s SATE: Highlands & Islands Regional Pathway to Sustainable Aviation project – taking us one step closer to real, everyday drone deliveries for our remote and island communities.

At Streamline, we’ve been part of the SATE journey for several years, providing ongoing logistics support and taking part in various trials – including a first-of-its-kind parcel delivery by drone, supported by the team at Windracers.

This next phase of this journey will therefore build on the success of these trials and keep pushing for smarter, greener ways to get goods where they need to go – faster, efficiently, and with less impact on our environment.

“This is a big moment for us and for the communities we serve. When we first got involved in these trials, it felt like something out of science fiction. The technology seemed decades ahead of its time with autonomous navigation, pinpoint accuracy, and the ability to take off and land entirely on its own.

Seeing it connect some of the most remote island communities in the UK was incredible. And now we’re closer than ever to making this part of everyday life – bringing faster, greener, more reliable deliveries to the people and businesses who need them most.”

Will Rodger, Service Manager at Streamline

As we look ahead to the next few years, we’re excited to keep working with our partners to see how far we can push this innovative technology and create a smarter future for logistics.
