  • Delivering for Orkney: Streamline Supports The Peedie Retreat Project

Streamline is delighted to support Orkney charity The Peedie Retreat with an inspirational project on Inganess Beach, providing free transportation for building materials, specialist furnishings and domestic items to bring the charity’s vision to life.

Streamline learned about The Peedie Retreat project through the 2025 Orkney Bike Run, when attendee Alex Findlater, of McAdie & Reeve, shared the charity’s ambition to create a fully accessible seaside retreat for people in Orkney affected by cancer, MS or MND. After hearing what the retreat would mean for local families, Streamline’s Service Manager, Will Rodger, reached out to offer support — a gesture rooted in the company’s long-standing commitment to its island community.

The charity’s progress has also been guided by the incredible dedication of Anna and Reuben Johnston (founders of The Peedie Retreat project), whose ongoing work has been instrumental in bringing the project together. The Peedie Retreat is now moving into its Big Build phase, supported by countless acts of generosity. Streamline is humbled to play a small part in making this haven achievable, helping ensure those facing tough journeys can access a restorative place close to nature, family and home.
