We would like to bring our customers up to speed with some planned disruption to our Daroja sailings over the next week or so:
Streamline – Daroja Service:-
Daroja is operating to a revised schedule, as below:-
Departing Aberdeen on Friday 24/03/17 PM
Arriving Kirkwall on Saturday 25/03/17 AM
Arriving Aberdeen on Sunday 26/03/17 AM
Arriving Lerwick on Sunday 26/03/17 PM / Monday 27/03/17 AM
Arriving Aberdeen on Tuesday 28/03/17 AM
The scheduled Daroja sailing from Aberdeen on Tuesday 28th March has been cancelled due to essential maintenance and repair work to the vessels steelwork which has to be completed by 11th April for sign off of the vessels shipping class. We have made arrangements for this essential work to be carried out here in Aberdeen, with a large number of resources in place in order to achieve the work in the quickest possible time. It is therefore planned to undertake this work between Tuesday 28th March and Friday 31st March, with the vessel scheduled to Sailing from Aberdeen on Friday 31st March to the below schedule.
Daroja revised schedule, as below:-
Departing Aberdeen on Friday 31st March PM
Arriving Kirkwall on Saturday 1st April AM
Arriving Lerwick on Sunday 2nd April AM
However, there is possibility that the work may not be completed by the Friday 31st March and the planned repair work could recommence on Tuesday 4th April until completion before Friday 7th April.
Daroja revised schedule, as below:-
Departing Aberdeen on Friday 7th April PM
Arriving Kirkwall on Saturday 8th April AM
Arriving Lerwick on Sunday 9th April AM
Thereafter our normal schedule will resume on Tuesday 11th April, with sailings reverting back to the usual Tuesday & Saturday departures from Aberdeen.
We apologise to all our valued customers for this added disruption falling on the back of the cancelled sailings over recent weeks due to poor weather conditions, but please be assured that we will be working to ensure that this has minimal of impact to all shipments to / from the Northern Isles. We will be enhancing our trailer services on the Northlink operated ferry and any cargo which would have been scheduled to depart from Aberdeen on our own Tuesday Daroja sailing will be shipped on the Northlink operated ferry.
I would like to take this opportunity remind our customers that Streamline already offer a broad range of Ro/Ro services on the Northlink ferry to supplement our own Daroja service. With 7 daily departures in both directions to / from Shetland ex Aberdeen, 4 departures to / from Kirkwall ex Aberdeen and 4 departures to / from Glasgow to Orkney on a weekly basis.
