  • How Streamline Shipping Supports Local Communities, Sports and Charity Across the UK

At Streamline Shipping Group, we believe delivering goods is just the beginning. As a trusted sustainable logistics provider across the UK, we’re proud to play an active role in strengthening the local communities we serve, from busy city centres to the most remote islands. Our work in community support, sports sponsorship and charity partnerships reflects our belief that when local people thrive, so does the entire country.

Driving Grassroots Sport and Local Talent

We’re committed to helping local communities grow stronger through sport, whether that’s on the football pitch, golf course or an athletics track! Over the years, we have:

  • Backed Streamline Football Club as they rose to third place in their league and supported Partick Thistle FC during a thrilling 2–1 win over Raith Rovers
  • Supported Orkney Hockey women’s team as they made history by lifting the Scottish District Cup in 2022
  • Sponsored golf star Rosie Maguire as she became Pollok Golf Club’s junior champion, secured a bronze at the Scottish Girls U16s and joined the Scottish performance squad – an incredible journey!
  • Proudly assisted Taylah Paterson and Scotland’s women’s 4×100 relay team reach their first final since 1986(!) at the 2022 Commonwealth Games

Bringing People Together Through Events

As a logistics provider for the Scottish Highlands and Islands, we know the value of connection at Streamline. Beyond simply delivering goods, Streamline also focuses on helping to deliver unforgettable experiences:

  • We were the official logistics partner for the Orkney Island Games 2025, carefully ensuring that athletes and equipment arrived on time for the 40th-anniversary celebrations
  • We hosted our annual Streamline Open golf event in Stromness, where over 100 players teed off for a day of sport and community pride
  • We’ve supported the Orkney Relay for Life, providing staging and sponsorship for this inspiring cancer fundraiser
  • We have also been a sponsor for Carol Gunn’s London Marathon run for the Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation, supported young performers at the Aberdeen Academy of Expressive Arts and sponsored the recent 2025 Tall Ships festival hosted in Aberdeen

Partnering with Charities that Change Lives

Our community logistics support also extends to charities across Scotland and the rest of the UK. Friends of ANCHOR and Clan Cancer Support both receive Streamline’s help in delivering wellness packs and essential supplies across Aberdeenshire, Orkney and Shetland for those in need. We have also worked alongside the British Red Cross and The Salvation Army to ensure vital aid reaches those who need it most, no matter the location.

Innovating for a Sustainable Future

Our commitment to sustainable logistics in the UK goes beyond carbon reduction efforts; it’s about creating long-term solutions that stand the test of time. For example, Streamline has been passionate about supporting Orkney Windracers’ self-flying cargo plane trial, exploring greener, more efficient ways to connect island communities. We have also worked with the Orkney Sea Cadets, helping to fund a replacement wind turbine, allowing them to power their activities with renewable energy and ensuring young cadets can learn, lead and grow.

More Than a Logistics Provider

From small sports clubs to life-changing charities, Streamline is dedicated to delivering more than just physical goods to our local communities – our aim is to also make a meaningful impact on the people. If you feel that we could help bring your vision to life via sponsorship, get in touch! We’re open to collaborations and partnerships with local organisations that share our vision.
